Biography

Autumn Nicks, born in Vista, California, is the oldest of five children (she has three brothers and a sister) born to parents who were both musically gifted. Her father was an accomplished guitarist. Her mother also plays guitar, and is a singer/songwriter. From the time Autumn was a very small child, her parents knew that her life would revolve around music, and most especially, the piano. For her third Christmas they bought her very first piano ~ a table top, two octave keyboard in wood veneer. She played it incessantly for years, making up songs to sing while she tickled the ivories.

Formal piano lessons began at seven and she never looked back. By the age of 12, she had several beginning students of her own. It was evident that accompaniment was her strong suit by middle school, when she began to accompany school musicals. Since then she has had extensive experience in piano accompaniment playing for music theatre productions, choirs, ensembles, instrumentalists, vocalists, as well as performing most recently with the Grand Junction Symphony Orchestra as an on staff pianist. She has used her talents at UCLA's summer music theatre camps, accompanying students from all over the world as they develop their own musical skills.

Autumn is also a gifted vocalist. She began by singing special numbers in church at quite a young age (around 2ish?). She also started singing duets with her mother when she was about 6, but soon spread her vocal wings and soared boldly out on her own singing with her school choirs, auditioned Allstate choirs, and continuing into college where she was a part of many choirs including Chamber Choir then moving on to recording solos on her own. She is currently attempting to create her own personal music to record and share with the world, but until then she enjoys playing and recording songs that speak to her soul.

Autumn Nicks is currently relocating back to the Los Angeles area to pursue new music ventures after living in Colorado for the last decade.
